This presentation will focus on the basic components of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Both the philosophy underlying the therapy as well as the technical treatment components will be explored. We will dive into the six areas of the ACT hexaflex which includes contact with the present moment, acceptance, cognitive diffusion, values, committed action and self as context. Case examples and experiential exercises will be provided.
