Program Description:

A complete multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) requires particular assessments. These assessments include universal screening, classwide math intervention, diagnostic assessment, individual or small-group intervention, implementation support, and program evaluation. This session will detail how to collect and interpret resulting data to complete a full MTSS in math.

 Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to describe describe effective screening and progress monitoring in mathematics, especially the need for sensitive mastery measures to make MTSS decisions

  2. Participants will be able to describe classwide intervention as both a screening device but also an especially high-yield way to improve learning outcomes schoolwide.

  3. Participants will be able to describe how to use classwide intervention to improve achievement systemwide, make more accurate screening decisions, and close opportunity gaps.

This program is appropriate for:

Graduate Students, Recent Graduates, early-career doctoral-level professionals, Mid-career doctoral-level professions
