REGISTER HEREPresentation Description:This training examines the biopsychosocial nature of chronic pain, highlighting how the brain and nervous system play a central role in pain processing and somatic manifestations. Participants will review foundational theories and definitions of pain, gain psychoeducation on the neurobiology of pain, and learn practical strategies for applying this knowledge in clinical settings, as well as strategies for facilitating effective conversations between individuals experiencing pain and their support networks. Emphasis will be placed on evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Pain Reprocessing Therapy. Learning Objectives:1. Participants will be able to explain the role of the brain and nervous system in the development and maintenance of chronic and neuroplastic pain.
2. Participants will be able to apply evidence-based interventions including CBT, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and integrative mind-body strategies.
3. Participants will be able to identify strategies to engage family members and support networks in conversations that reinforce safety and recovery.

Presenter's Bio:Dr. Jaimee Arnoff is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience treating adolescents and young adults with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. She is certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy and integrates psychological, social, and physiological perspectives to address the complex nature of physical pain. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Arnoff serves on the Founding Physician’s Board of Flowly, a digital health company that uses virtual reality and biofeedback to improve patient outcomes and contributes to international initiatives advancing pain education and treatment.
