Mindfulness is the practice of purposely focusing your attention on the present moment—and accepting it without judgment. It has been found to be a key element in stress reduction and overall well -being.   The practice of mindfulness works, in part, by helping people to accept their experiences—including painful emotions—rather than react to them with aversion and avoidance.  
During this Learn and Lunch, we will first focus on the benefits of mindfulness and how to incorporate this practice into our work in therapy sessions. Following this overview, we will spend time engaged in an actual mindful meditation practice.
